for Children Facilities
The Center for Children
is located 1550 Oakman Boulevard, at the corner of Linwood, Detroit.
It is open from 6 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The
26,000 square foot facility offers:
- An indoor gymnasium and three fully-equipped outdoor playgrounds
- A
hot breakfast and lunch and two snacks each day*
- Separate sleeping
and play areas for infants
- An on-site social worker, nurse and security
In accordance with the Focus: HOPE mission, the Center was created
to assist students, colleagues, and residents of the neighboring
community with outstanding care and education for their children,
in an atmosphere of love and respect. The Center strives to be the
performance standard leader in childcare and early childhood education.
It meets federal, state and local government requirements, and provides
children entrusted to its care with educational support in a safe,
nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment.
