Centers of Opportunity!

Since starting career preparation programs in 1981, Focus: HOPE has helped more than 8,000 individuals establish successful careers. Our Centers of Opportunity are:

Machinist Training Institute (MTI). Admission to our machinist training program is temporarily suspended while curriculum revisions are being made.  Details on the updated curriculum will be available in July.

Center for Advanced Technologies (CAT) educates manufacturing engineers through a unique collaboration with industry and university partners. Students get hands-on experience while studying toward associate's and bachelor's degrees.

Information Technologies Center (ITC) provides training toward industry certifications. The programs are in PC Technology, Network Administration and Desktop and Server Administration. This program is accredited by ACCET (Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training).

Fast Track courses enable individuals to improve basic skills through concentrated study.  Students can study math and/or reading. Courses also incorporate communication and computer skills.

Focus: HOPE is a partner with the City of Detroit Employment and Training Department and Michigan Works! Partial funding for some programs provided through the City of Detroit.

Information Technologies Center

Students in our Information Technologies Center work on the latest equipment and software as they study for industry certification exams.
