ITC graduation had pomp and praise for students

The Information Technologies Center's February 2010 commencement  included more than 70 graduates from the Personal Computer Technology, Small Office Home Office, Network Technology, and Server Technology classes.  It recognized the academic achievements of more than 70 ITC graduate students.  Jaime Foucher of Ford Motor Company’s Information Technology department delivered a comprehensive and encouraging IT job related commencement message.                

Class valedictorian of Server Technologies, Herbert Delgado, presented a heartfelt speech in which he recalled life’s triumphs and tough times that led him to the path he has chosen in the IT field.

Recognition of top academic honors included class valedictorian and perfect attendance awards.  The class valedictorians are:  PCT-33 Calleen Jones, PCT-34 Andre` Bearden, PCT-35 Anthony Stye, PCT-36 Kevin Williams, SOHO-5 Thomas Nutt, II, SOHO-6 Siddeeq Haqq, SOHO-7 Kevin Dennard, ST-38 Herbert Delgado, and NT-39 Christian Beck. 

Congratulations to Cisco certified network associates, Stephanie Wilks and Arnold Redd who worked diligently to obtain these highly sought after certifications.  The excellent academic and certification achievements by Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professionals Herbert Delgado and Maurice Respress (who were recently certified) were applauded by the ITC staff.   Special recognition goes to MCITPro Maurice Respress who took an extra step to become the ITC’s first MCITP Enterprise Administrator professional.

The graduation festivities were held in the Conference Center at the Center for Advanced Technologies on Feb. 4. It was attended by friends, family, ITC alumni and Focus: HOPE colleagues.  The event was a tremendous display of support and pride for the ITC graduates and Focus: HOPE educational programs.
