Photography Exhibit
January 16 to February 2, 2014
Photographs reflecting students' experiences in three Focus: HOPE Community Arts programs will be featured in a special exhibit at the 555 Gallery and Studio, 2801 W. Vernor Hwy, Detroit.  Parking is available on the south side of the gallery.

The exhibition features color and black and white photographs taken by Detroit and suburban youths in our Focus on the Mission and Excel programs.   The photographs were taken from locations as diverse as Cranbrook Educational Community, Historic Eastern Market, Metropolitan Parks, and downtown Detroit. Students in each program worked to create their own artist bios and statements to allow audience members a deeper glance into their creative work.

MLK Day
Monday, January 20, 2014
Focus: HOPE's offices and food centers will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day when colleagues will fan out across the area to perform community service.

We will be volunteering at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, Cass Community Social Services, Forgotten Harvest, Gleaners, the Bottomless Toy Chest, and pre-packing food boxes for homebound seniors at our Central Warehouse.
