Seeking 20 teachers for Center for Children
Focus: HOPE has 20 teacher positions open at its Center for Children. Of those 17 are full time, school year only positions. The positions must be filled by September 22, 2014.
To accelerate hiring, we will host Walk-in Wednesdays on Sept. 10 and 17 where applicants can come to the Focus: HOPE Resource Center, 1355 Oakman Boulevard, Detroit 48238 with their resume and participate in a screening interview. Focus: HOPE is seeking:
• 8 teachers for Head Start and/or Great Start Readiness Program. One is a full time, 12-month position. The others are school year only.
• 8 assistant teachers for Head Start and/or Great Start Readiness Program. One is a full time, 12 month position. The others are school year only.
• 4 full time, substitute teachers who will rotate to classes where needed. One is a full time, 12-month position. The others are school year only.
Applicants for the teacher positions must have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Elementary Education with an Early Childhood endorsement as well as previous experience working with infants and toddlers in a classroom setting. Applicants for the assistant teacher positions must have Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development Associates or Elementary Education and/ or higher degree preferred.
