Plastic Omnium, an automotive Tier 1 supplier and world leader in exterior parts and fuel systems, has announced a new partnership with Focus: HOPE including a major gift to support Focus: HOPE’s charitable work in metro Detroit. The company’s Troy-based automotive division, Plastic Omnium Auto Exterior and Inergy Automotive Systems, presented Focus: HOPE with a gift of $ 300,000 for the Eleanor M. Josaitis Fund at the organization’s 38th annual WALK on October 14th.
Plastic Omnium’s financial contribution marks the beginning of a long term partnership with Focus: HOPE. The company plans to identify opportunities to hire employees and recruit interns from Focus: HOPE’s machining, engineering and information technology programs. Additionally, Plastic Omnium is committed to annual support of student scholarships for Focus: HOPE’s job training programs. The firm also will encourage its employees to seek out volunteer opportunities at Focus: HOPE.
