Rebecca P. Wenglinski joined Focus: HOPE as Director of External Relations in February 2017. Wenglinski is responsible for leading the implementation and execution of the annual corporate/foundation campaign.
Previously, Wenglinski was Business Development Manager at Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP, where she developed relationships with potential clients and new industries, managed pitch presentations, proposals, Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, and composed strategic plans for government relations, real estate, and healthcare practice groups. Wenglinski operated her own non-profit consulting firm on a part-time basis, as well as held economic development positions from 2010-2015 for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and Oakland County. In these roles, she managed numerous talent and economic development programs, including the regional Medical Main Street initiative. Wenglinski has raised thousands of dollars in corporate sponsorships and grant proposals. She also has extensive experience in corporate and non-profit relationship building.
She has her Masters of Public Policy and Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Wenglinski also participated in study abroad programs in London, UK and Krakow, Poland. She serves on the board of The Arc of Northwest Wayne County where she worked to establish an endowment fund. She is an active member of inFORUM, Michigan Economic Developers Association (MEDA), Michigan Society of Association Executives (MSAE), and is an avid golfer.
