Light for HOPE -- Food Center

Our food program is a vital resource for the 42,000 seniors, mothers and children who receive nutritious food each month.

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program administered by Focus: HOPE is a lifeline for people in need. The program assists 5,000 mothers, infants and young children as well as 37,000 senior citizens each month. Most participants shop for their food at one of our four food centers, but volunteers deliver food to more than 1,000 homebound seniors and several agencies deliver food boxes to senior apartment buildings and senior centers in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb and Washtenaw Counties. Our food centers are set up like grocery stores where participants can select the items they want each month.
