Senior Holiday Delivery 2023!

Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers for joining us for another successful Senior Holiday Delivery program! We set out each year to feed pre-selected seniors enrolled in our Food for Seniors program and we successfully accomplished that with YOUR help. In preparation of the day, our amazing staff planned, prepped, promoted and most importantly… DECORATED! Because really, what’s a holiday celebration with out amazing decorations really bringing in the cheer!

Once Saturday arrived, we welcomed 500 volunteers to our beautifully decorated main campus for this joyous occasion. There were volunteers that stayed on site to do a variety of jobs including: loading vehicles, directing traffics, passing out addresses to other volunteers, and to float around answering any questions participants may have.

As we brought in our volunteers, loaded their cars and sent them off to make their deliveries we were able to successfully get everyone out delivering in just 2 hours! Spending those few hours that morning helped to provide the food needed to for our seniors to have the holiday meal they deserve! A few items included in this special holiday food boxes were: potatoes, onions, oranges, apples,  rice, baked beans, green beans, cornbread, yams, greens, mac and cheese, mixed fruit, sugar, cereal, stuffing and of course a turkey!
